what does it mean to have an absence of government, and total freedom of the individual? do you know what you would do if this were available? do you know if you would recognise it? do you know that it is not always already available, that this has always been so?

Total freedom means total responsibility. It is the ability to respond. What is in front of you right now is the world at your edges, in all directions, addressing you. The litter on your street is your litter. The garden is your garden. You take ownership for everything that crosses your path, regardless of what you think may happen when you are not there–a wise person has said: that is another story and shall be told another time. What is at hand now is what you will do with what is in front of you. Are you able to respond?
